Marzo en Costa Rica // Piedras Blancas, Cerro de la Muerte y Ometepe, Nicaragua
April 2nd, 2018
A brief look at three microclimates of Costa Rica and Nicaragua through the eyes of a pancake, EFS 24mm lens.
Parque Nacional Piedras Blancas: There's little hesitation that this jungle is as dense as they come, leaving its explorers questioning the ability of nature to balance its powerful dangers with its beauty in the form of symbiosis. Cerro de la Muerte: Seemingly separate from Costa Rica, this mountain ecosystem sits at 12,200 ft, providing scenic sunrise backdrops over miles of Costa Rican valleys and cool, crisp nights of campfires and soup in the thin mountain air. Ometepe, Nicaragua: A massive island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua, featuring two monumental volcanoes, Concepción and Maderas, each providing adventurers unique experiences miles in the sky. "Marzo" is the third and final installation of our three month long profile on Central America by Basecamper Oliver Ambros.
Expect more galleries from Oliver in the coming months as he embarks on a four month long discovery of the Pacific North West.
